St Paul, one of the most typical village in the 'arriere pays nicois' is famous for its fortifications, painters and artists who came through to love this village and its games of 'boules'. The area allows yourselves to travel easily between Provence, Cannes, Cap d'Antibes, Nice and Monaco. The contrast between the quiet location in St Paul due to the size of the properties in the area and the activities available on your doorstep is truly amazing.

Le Falevinier's quiet surroundings, yet close to Nice airport (15 minutes), make it an ideal destination for a peaceful, authentic and comfortable holiday on the French Riviera. St Paul, Vence and Tourettes, with their fortifications and ancient stone houses, very different from each other, are lovely villages to explore, have lunch, a drink or diner al fresco in the evening. The Chapelle de Vence decorated by Matisse; the Foundation Maeght and its art collection; all offer a taste of culture and history from this beautiful part of France.

You can find amazing restaurants (whether this means Michelin-starred restaurants or local bistros) around the villa from St Paul to Biot, Grasse (with its perfumes) and Mougins. Nice, Cannes (25 minutes) and Monaco (35 minutes) offer a wilder night-life whilst Vence, Cimiers and Juan les Pins are great centers for festivals and music. If it is "bal musette" (local ball with orchestra) you are after, each village in the area hosts its own, usually during the summer - something to be experienced! You are 10 minutes away from the first beach or river if you want to take your children and enjoy the numerous activities available there.

There are excellent walks in the area or you can drive to the foot of the Alpes and enjoy breathtaking walks in Saint Martin de Vesubie (1 hour). In winter, you can ski at Isola 2000 or Auron (1 hour and a half) or in smaller but lovely villages such as Valberg or Gréolieres.
